PapairKnowledge

Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about the use, sustainability and properties of Papair products.

Are Papair products compliant with the EU packaging regulation (PPWR)?

Yes, our paper packaging material meets the requirements of the EU Packaging Ordinance (PPWR) - particularly with regard to recyclability, material avoidance and substitution of fossil raw materials. All of our products are made exclusively from paper and can be fully recycled via the waste paper recycling system . This means that they already meet the PPWR requirements for the recyclability of packaging material.

The good cushioning properties make additional filling material and therefore additional volume superfluous in most cases.

This means that empty space in parcels can easily be reduced to less than 50%, as stipulated in the PPWR.

We actively support you in switching to PPWR-compliant packaging solutions.

Can I reduce license fees with PapairWrap?

Yes, by using paper-based packaging materials, companies save directly on license fees. These fees are already incurred today for placing packaging materials on the market and disposing of them, and the contracts have to be renewed annually.

Disposal costs are expected to rise in the coming years against the backdrop of mandatory recycling quotas.

At present, the license fees for paper are significantly lower than those for plastic, which makes paper particularly attractive as a packaging material and can reduce packaging costs by up to 25 % in a total cost calculation.

Are Papair products compatible with existing packaging machines?

PapairWrap is compatible with many common unwinding and wrapping machines. This means that a changeover can be made quickly and easily.

We will be happy to advise you on integration into existing processes.

Can Papair products replace plastic packaging alternatives 1:1?

Yes, PapairWrap can replace conventional plastic bubble wrap 1:1

The arrangement of the stable bubbles makes PapairWrap particularly flexible and ensures optimum protection and cushioning properties. In the vast majority of cases, existing unwinding and cutting devices can still be used.

How versatile are Papair products?

Whether as padding material from the roll, interlayer, mailing bag or wrapping material - Papair products are suitable for a wide range of packaging tasks and can also be used for complex geometries and automated processes.

The different single or double-layer versions make PapairWrap a suitable packaging material for sensitive as well as heavy and robust items.

Can PapairWrap be printed on?

Yes, in principle all Papair products can be printed with your logo or other content and thus individualized.

pikto-bedruckenThis is particularly relevant in light of the increasing labeling requirements for packaging materials.

How do I reduce my packaging costs with PapairWrap?

In addition to the purchase prices, it is also important to consider the total cost of ownership (TCO) that is incurred for the packaging material.

Even if the purchase price may be higher than that of plastic film, you will still save money:

  • Storage costs - PapairWrap is economical to use
  • License fees - are lower than for plastic
  • Handling costs - faster processing due to lower material requirements

This often makes Papair products cheaper than plastic in the long term.

For which industries is Papair's packaging material particularly suitable?

Usecase_Zahnräder_Pikto-2

Paipair's products have proven themselves in the automotive, e-commerce, sanitary, spare parts, lighting and lighting industry, home & living and beyond.

We meet your packaging challenges with individual solutions.

Use PapairWrap as primary and secondary packaging.

Yes, PapairWrap can be used as protection and padding directly on the product (primary packaging) or as transport protection for shipping (secondary packaging). This creates flexibility, saves on material changes and improves the efficiency of your packaging processes.

Why is paper particularly sustainable as a packaging material?

Icon Recycling

Paper is based on renewable raw materials and is fully recyclable. Our products are FSC-certified and, depending on the product, are made from up to 100% recycled paper.

In this way, we contribute to the promotion of the circular economy .

How safe is Papair packaging when it comes to protecting sensitive products and delicate surfaces?

PapairWrap is shock-absorbent and provides reliable all-round protection directly on the product.

Pruefgeraet

All products are regularly tested for their protective properties and quality in our own laboratory.

For sensitive surfaces, we offer Papair products with a special coating. This serves as scratch protection without affecting the upholstery properties.

Ideal for sensitive surfaces such as plastic, paint or chrome.
